Return to School - September 2020
We are looking forward to welcoming all our pupils back to school in September and all being able to settle back into school life quickly.
All parents were provided with full return to school information in July's newsletter (click here to view) but here are a few reminders:
Thursday 3rd September - First day at school for all Y3 pupils
Friday 4th September - First day at school for all Y4 pupils
Monday 7th September - First day at school for all Y5 and Y6 pupils
Drop-off and Pick-up Arrangements:
Children will arrive and leave in their House teams so families are able to arrive and leave together. Keele & Nottingham– arrive 8.30am; leave 3.20pm; Loughborough & Warwick – arrive 8.40am; leave 3.30pm. These times must be observed - do not arrive more than 5 minutes early. Parents were notified in July which House team their child is in - Y4, Y5, Y6 via the school report pack; Y3 via the newsletter.
A ‘Supermarket-style’ queuing system will be in operation on the path onto school premises; 2m social distancing must be adhered to at all times. Exit from the premises will be via the marked pathway on the car park.
Parents will not be allowed onto the playground. Teachers will meet pupils on the playground at the start of the day; parents will leave the school premises immediately. At the end of the school day, teachers will bring the children to the playground and send them to their parents when their parents reach the school gate.
Please note, this system was used very successfully during the transition weeks in July, so we are confident that it will be a safe and efficient system for the full return, as long as everyone does their part.
Contacting Your Child's Teacher:
Your child's learning log can be used to send a short message to your child's teacher. Alternatively, you can email email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org and your message will be passed on for you.
If you need to have a conversation with your child's class teacher, please email your request as above or telephone the school office on 01283 248158 and arrangements will be made for the teacher to contact you as soon as they are able to. Please be aware that the teachers will be in class teaching so there may be a delay in their response to you but it could be that the office staff, or Mrs Putman, our Family Support Advisor, may be able to help you instead.
Please be aware that:
Usual school attendance rules will be in force from the 1st September, therefore all pupils are expected to return to school from their designated start date.
All pupils are expected to wear correct school uniform every day and have the correct PE kit on their return to school,
School meals provision will be resuming but with a reduced menu for ease of service within the new Covid-secure systems (click to see: Menu 1 Menu 2). Please make sure you have applied for Free School Meals if you think you may now be eligible (click here for link to application form).
